Informiamo tutti che è stata convocata una giornata di lavori tra gli studenti di tutte le Facoltà:
Lunedì 26 Gennaio
presso il Circolo ARCI Oltrepo' - Corso Sicilia 23
dalle 14.30 in poi (chi vuole si può fermare per cena, prezzi popolari)
Sarà una giornata di libero confronto, un'assemblea costituente con l'obiettivo di dare avvio ad una realtà nuova, alternativa, indipendente, libera da sovrastrutture inutili (partiti, sindacati, organizzazioni, ecc.), finalmente autogestita da noi studenti.
Se non ci organizziamo noi studenti per farci sentire, nessuno ci darà voce: la nostra voce dobbiamo essere noi stessi!
Questo momento costituente è il risultato di un lungo percorso a cui noi del FAGGIO abbiamo partecipato fin dall'inizio ma che è aperto ad ogni nuovo intervento che vorrete portare. Abbiamo seminato, abbiamo atteso le stagioni ed ora è tempo di raccoglierne i frutti, chi parteciperà al nostro raccolto sarà anche libero di contribuire ad una nuova semina di ciò che verrà.
Oggi abbiamo l'opportunità e il dovere di proseguire il percorso avviato, di contribuire ad un salto di qualità nella capacità di organizzazione e di azione di tutti gli studenti attivi a livello di Ateneo, per fare rete ma non solo, per continuare a costruire e agire insieme.
Per questo motivo noi studenti di Agraria dovremmo essere in tanti, per far sentire la nostra voce, la voce di chi studia a Grugliasco, di chi è lontano dalle logiche e dalle dinamiche di Torino, e portare la nostra idea di Università: pubblica, statale, fondata sul libero pensiero e sulla sostenibilità ambientale.
Portiamo la nostra esperienza di piccola società del libero campeggio occupato, di quel che si può fare di giusto con semplicità, resistendo e preoccupandosi per la propria casa.

Dear activists in Italia,
I am a student activist in Germany and initiator of the "International Day of Action against the Commercialisation of Education", which took place on Nov.5th 2008.
Groups in more than 20 countries on 5 continents stood together during the international day of action. You can access a presentation summarizing all the actions on that day here:

Furthermore groups around the world protested for free (and emancipating) public education and against the commercialisation of education in the year 2008.

As a result of the co-ordination efforts ahead of the international day of action a loose network was created, which now calls itself the "International Students Movement" (because most groups involved are dominated by students, but of course we are open to all social groups struggling against the commercialisation of education and for free and emancipating public education; i.e. teachers, parents, pupils, workers,...).
We have international chat conferences regularly and during one of our last chats decided to call for a "Reclaim your Education - Global Week of Action 2009" in April (20/04 - 29/04).

Priority for us is to unite groups and movements around the world and promote the global perspective of the struggle. In the end we want to increase the political pressure on a global scale and get governments to implement free public education systems, that are based on an emancipating approach and are accessible to all.
The following platforms were set-up to co-ordinate things together:
* a website with many different forums to help creating new networks locally and globally: http://www.emancipating-education-for-all.org
* a group on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37734834372 "Reclaim your Education - Global Week of Action 2009!!" (especially for those registered there already)
* regular international chat conferences with "group representatives" and inidividual activists; the next one is coming up on Feb. 22nd
* a personal mailing list (with more than 250 contacts from around the world), which I use to send out the summaries of the chats and details regarding up-coming chat conferences, as well as some basic information to co-ordinate things (let me know, if you want to be added to the mailing list)
So far groups in Bangladesh, the Philippines, France, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, Canada, the UK, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Luxembourg, Egypt, Ghana, the U.S. of A., Burundi, Togo and Liberia confirmed their interest in the week of action.
